Latest Pickups: Ultima IX
I have a soft spot for Ultima IX which explains why there are so many different versions of the game on my shelf. The last one added is the UK release (bottom row, center) which does have a gatefold cover but none of the extra pages from the US version which results in another different box design.

Comparing size
Boxes come in all sizes.

Poster
While digging through some old folders, I've stumbled upon this scan: It's the art print included in the Dragon Edition of Ultima IX; painted of course by the wonderful Denis Loubet

Differences in mapping
Meant to post this two weeks ago but, you know, life.
Anyway, here's all the various cloth and paper maps of #Ultima IX in my collection for #MapMonday
From left to right:
- Japanese Premium
- German
- US Dragon Edition
- US
- Asia-Pacific Dragon Edition

Latest Pickups: Ultima IX (again)
There's already two copies of Ultima IX in my collection. The German version that I've gotten back in the day and the super-sized Dragon Edition.
This week, the North American box landed on my doormat and it's not only a tiny bit bigger than the German one but is also embossed and has a gatefold cover with some additional pages. Despite all that, the map's on paper, so I guess, it's a re-release or the previous owner(s) messed up the content.

Latest Pick-Up: Ultima IX - Ascension (Dragon Edition)
Now, that's what I call a big big box!
The Dragon Edition of Ultima IX: Ascension includes even more feelies than the regular version. And it's more than double its size! Madness, I say :-D

Video game Posters and maps
Scanning and uploading boxes is one thing, adding high-res scans of posters and maps another as stitching and sometimes a lot of cleaning up is needed. Nonetheless, I try to add those bits of memorabilia too.
The uploads are available in the Information tab of the game in question and via my Google Drive.
